Not my favorite of his films, that would be Under Colorado Skies (1947), but The Missourians (1950) was a decent enough send-off for Monte Hale as one of Republic Pictures resident cowboy heroes. He was a singing cowboy that came in after that fad had ran it's course, but he still got 5 good years in Hollywood out of it. He'd sporadically return for a few more appearances, but this was the last of his full-time gig.
