The Mississippi Gambler

Apparently the silent version of this movie exists, but I watched the sound version... without sound. The sound disc is lost. While it could have used some intertitles at add a little charm, it's a fairly straight forward story that's easy to pick up on, even without any form of dialogue. I'm sure it would have been a better experience with any kind of language, but even in handicapped form, the elegance of Joseph Schildkraut & Joan Bennett, that the movie lives on, is strikingly there.
