This movie is frustrating. The ensemble cast is great, but it feels like they weren't used to their full potential. The story is interesting but it lacks suspense and, strangely enough, mystery. It looks fine but the music is terrible. While the direction is lacking in places, the biggest problem is the editing; which manages to make the twist completely obvious, yet fails to make the movie feel cohesive. It's only worth viewing if you're a fan of Christie or any of the film's stars.

Excellent, marvelous, wonderful acting from Lansbury, Taylor, Hudson and Fox... let down by terrible editing, which makes the plot obvious in some places and confused in others. (And an odd use of sleazy saxophone.) Still worth watching, just for the performances.

Left me wondering where things were going for a bit. I ended up guessing a big twist, though, when I recalled having heard about a real-life actress that inspired the novel. Random knowledge spoiled it a tad, but the rest remained mysterious. A part of the fun is wondering "is that who I think it is??" then checking the cast online and seeing all the old timey stars involved. Few will mention Blofeld as a butler, and baby Pierce Brosnan getting smooshed against Elizabeth Taylor's tiddies

Not a bad mystery and it was fun at times. It dragged in a couple spots which held it back from a higher score.

Box Obras-primas do Cinema Agatha Christie Volume 1.

The murderer's motivation is sort of interesting, but it's a very dull film.

So the first adaptation of an Agatha Christie novel done by the same director was great, but this one felt odd and missing the target by a mile. Sure, the cast is supposed to be great, but they're at the end of their career and the mystery is not very interesting and the characters are so boring. Quite disappointing overall and I would like to know how the charm of the first one is completely absent from the second one.

A naive little mystery tale that maintains some sort of charm and is full of witty, delightfully British one-liners. The plot is intriguing enough in order to keep you guessing until the satisfactory final twist.

Kind of bad, but also really fun in a sort of campy mistery with lots of washed up stars sort of way.
