Chandler, a con-man, and his helper Frank decide to create a clairvoyant act for the carny circuit, as a little research reveals Ameicans spent $125 million on mind-readers and astrology. The carny, renamed Chandra, falls for one of his marks, Sylvia, but their love is tested when he brings tragedy to other peoples' lives and she asks him to go straight. (imdb)

Fast-paced and not badly made. William is good in his role, while the subject matter adds an extra bit of intrigue into the mix.

"The Mind Reader" is a morality play with an expert confidence-man at its center. The performances are strong, and the script is well written.

This film has got it's brilliant moments with Warren William as a wonderful circus con-man who comes up with the scheme of being a mind reader. It's filmed in a elegant manner and it touches on most of the moral aspect of what he's doing. His partners in crime, Allen Jenkins & Clarence Muse, help make it a positive experience. Not to mention the extremely beautiful Constance Cummings! The Mind Reader is a solid piece of film making and I'm sure most would appreciate Warren William performance.
