I liked the The Mighty (1929) George Bancroft alright. An old gangster turned police commissioner after returning from the war. Simple story of a bear with a good hear, much helped by a sweet dame. Raymond Hatton as a slimy small crook was probable the highlight, but you can't go wrong with Warner Oland as the main slime either. Not the most detailed of films, but from this period of Hollywood you can't really complain.
