The Midnight Lady

The basis of the story is a slightly modified version of the 'Madame X' story where a girl gets to know a older lady running a nightclub, who unknowingly to her is her estrange mother. When the girls part-time lover gets killed the mother thinks her daughter has killed him and takes the rap for it to save her kid from scandal, and the girls main boyfriend helps defends her in court. The rest of the film is trying the capture the real killer. It's all a bit corny, but is alright enough.
