The Media Project

If the goal is to analyse and critique the media, then getting a handful of Melbournians around a dinner table to argue about how the news is presented is a dubious strategy, even if they include a film director, a ballerina and the grandson of a celebrated painter. Watching precisely 30 years later is still interesting, though, as there's a direct line from April Glaspie to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the Syrian conflict, via 9/11 and the Iraq invasion. Not that Glaspie gets a mention here.
