It doesn't do a great job of showing Master's mental breakdown. Sure, it happens, but he doesn't wear it. Woland's crew is fantastic and the movie got better whenever they were on screen. Diehl was the best performance. Gorgeous cinematography. Some inspired scenes. Decent enough romance but I had a hard time connecting and following the story (though that might be me being stupid). Also, some of this could have been trimmed.
