And again drama-play of Dusan Kovacevic, and again you can not get wrong with this film. The great batch of actors, Bata Stojkovic, Diklic.... Shame is that the foreigners can not understaind films this kind....

Dark, absurd, funny and twisted classic from Yugoslavia. This black comedy surprises you in a way you never suspected and it ends before you know it. A must watch. Helps if you understand a bit the language.

The Marathon Family estreava há 40 anos na Iugoslávia. Vendo muita gente colocar esse filme como uma obra-prima da comédia fui vê-lo com altas expectativas, mas que infelizmente não se cumpriram. Provavelmente é um caso de Lost in Translation, mas os gringos não entendem nossos filmes do Cinema Marginal também, então foda-se. DVDRip no MakingOff.

I'm sure it must be funnier in Serbian, but I'd be amazed if it's THAT much funnier.

Fine storytelling

Yugoslavya, cenaze isleri yapana aile, erkeklerden olusan aile, krematoryum, ölüm, vasiyet, cenaze, karsiliksiz ask, sinema salonu, ilk kez gösterilen sesli film, film cekmek, ikili oynamak (iliskide), kazayla adam öldürmek, catisma, borclu, alacakli, mezarlik, tabut hirsizi (iyi bir seyirlik oldugu söylenemez. krematoryumu denemek icin yakilan etin yenmesi gibi bir kac iyi espri var)

Pretty funny black comedy. I'm sure some things got lost in translation but I still laughed at both the premise and some of the bizarre places the story goes. The ending in particular is very well done. Visually the film is a little rough, though that can be part of the charm.

A bit slapstick-y in some parts, but an amazingly hilarious movie. One of the best comedies to come from Serbia for sure.

I managed about forty minutes of this before realising I could be asleep instead. Lost in translation, no doubt.

One of the greatest film of all time... great black comedy. Too bad much of charme is lost in translation to other languages.

With no doubt, thid is the best movie made in former Yugoslavia (now best ever made Serbian film)
