I'm a sucker for everything time travel, even when it's a cutesy young adult romance Groundhog Day thingamajig.

It definitely has tinges of the typical idealist YA fairy tale, but to be honest I don't particularly care because sometimes that's the kind of story I need. Carried by the chemistry of Newton & Allen, the former turning in another strong performance, it's also helped by having a smart & quietly subversive (if uneven in parts) script by Grossman that leaves just enough up to interpretation. It won't be for everyone, but it surprised me & managed to make me care about another time loop movie.

Like an incessant friend that wants desperately for you to like them, this movie is all charm and sentimentality but without anything real behind the joyful veneer. The "Live, Improve, Repeat ... Love" gimmick hasn't lost it's almost irrational initial appeal but the momentum it gifts is squandered by a cloying amount of montages conjoined with music that would be played in a home made video of a child's first walk. But I did feel a flutter of butterflies at the end, like a romantic chump.

Overcomes its occasional indie cheese with two great lead turns and a solidly constructed story. The time-loop conceit is handled well with great attention to detail in the repeated settings (some nice tracking shots too) and a clever, gradual reveal of the various things tiny, perfect, and otherwise that contribute to thoughtful conversations about life and meaning. The third act's attempts at science are bad and unnecessary but the narrative twist is a good one ("It wasn't my story at all").

It's a love story with a "stuck in time" plot.

Zamanı geçirirsin ama geri alamazsın. 2 gencimiz, her gün aynı olayları yaşayınca, ikili arasında 1 zaman döngüsünü bozmaya çalışırlar. Bugün Aslında Dündü ve Palm Springs filmlerinin 1 yenisi. Yalnız bu sefer anı çok yaşıyorlar. Çiftin uyumu iyi. Oğlan da karizmatik. Fakat sonlara doğru ritm çok düşüyor. Filmin sonunda. Öp beni. Çocuğu da ben işetmeyim?

The focus-group algorithms churn out another one: this time a shmaltzy YA night in: time-loops for him, tortured love story for her. Time definitely passed...but that's probably all.

The ending cheapens the message by turning it into a "repeat until romance" experience. It could have ended in a feel-good way without undermining the introspective aspects of the story. Still enjoyable despite those flaws.

Zaman, zamanda sıkışmak, hep aynı gün, bugün aslında dündü (çokça selam gönderilmiş), ikili, SPOILER hep aynı tempoda giderken birden neden sonuç ilişkisini tertemiz önümüze serdi. Ben filmin sonunu çok beğendim. AİLECE izlenebilir.

Okay, I understand that I'm probably not the target audience for this film, but if it works at all for it's intended audience, it would be because they haven't yet seen the better films that deal with the same basic issues in a deeper and more satisfying matter. This film glides along powered mostly by irritating cuteness.

The story is derivative and shallow. There is nothing exceptional, then it's over. I can't say there was anything I really disliked, it's all just so schmaltzy clean, plain and ordinary. A one day time loop until some romance happens. Not really worthwhile. It passes the time, and little more can be said about it. I am getting sick of these types of money grabs launched on the back of someone else's unique movie idea. This one just runs the Groundhog Day idea into the ground. Cute but pathetic.

This is not the most mind-blowing Groundhog movie, but the narrative twist in the third act was clever, I'll give it that.

Coming out so close on the heels of Palm Springs this might run the danger of being seen as a poor copy, but I thought it was every bit as good if not better. The two leads are charming and the movie never overplays its hand.

It's a perfectly harmless picture that could be easily resolved with the characters simply talking about each other. This isn't the way people tend to act in real life, rarely keeping large, life-changing moments completely to themselves. Surely they would check one-another's social media, but then we don't have a movie. It's enjoyable enough and has a good enough message about finding the small joys in life. If you do that with this, you'll enjoy it.

It wouldn't be fair to comment on this seeing that this is exclusively a movie for 10-14 year olds, but oh boy if you're gonna Groundhog Day it up you have to come with something better than this, surely.

This movie is for 10-14 year olds, and makes no attempt to appeal to anyone else, therefore I can't judge it objectively. Aside from some technical aspects and the use of a Fontaines D.C. song, there was nothing about the film I liked. Characters, as well as the entire premise, are obnoxious.
