The Man and the Moment

A sparkling late-silent with small talking parts. Billie Dove & Rod La Rocque dazzle with their presence while Gwen Lee plays a effective vamp. But while there are a lot of good things going on in The Man and the Moment (1929) the script is ultimately sappy. The couple have sex on their wedding night and use the rest of the film to quarrel about that. But at least there's Polo Boat (that's Polo while women strapped to the front of the boat trying to hit the ball)!
