The Man Who Changed His Mind

As much a comedy as it is a Sci-Fi thriller. It would be hard for me to actually call this a horror film.

Excellent Karloff horror vehicle finds the master himself in terrifically creepy form, aided by a fine supporting cast (Parker and Calthrop are especially good as Karloff's 'helpers'.) Lee is limited by the damsel nature of her role, but she works wonders with what she is given, and director Stevenson utilises some original directorial tricks to tell his rather strange story.

Boris Karloff home in Britain to make this 'mad scientist' film. The demented man has developed a way to transfer a persons soul from one body to the other! And he gets the pretty Anna Lee to assist him along with his crippled helper Donald Calthrop. It's a average horror film within this genre, but since it's Karloff it's more then watchable. Got a solid British cast as well. The real horror, cheesy or spooky, don't develop until the very end as it's all a bit too gentleman like.

Different take on the outcast scientist cliche, with an ending that makes you second guess yourself. The acting is also well above standard for the supporting cast and the platinum blond lead gets many a close up.
