The Making of a Man

Griffith at soapy relationship melodrama. Decent acting by Griffith standards; lots of quick cutting as people go from the room to the hall to the street and back and fro to make a not-horribly-eventful quarter-hour more dynamic. We get a bit of the theater in there (the things one must watch to get a glimpse of Mabel Normand in the audience sometimes), and I do like how they worked the train station into the to-and-fro (though that curtain they put up to block out the sign is a bit evident).
