Cute! The scenes where Pivert (Funes) tries miserably to act as a Rabbi (which are quite few really) are particularly hilarious.

Not nearly as consistently funny as La Grande Vadrouille, but a few cult scenes (the dance, in particular, and the dialogue with Salomon in the car) still make this flick a pleasure to watch.

Funès e Oury são uma ótima parceria, mas ainda prefiro La Grande Vadrouille como o grande filme deles. Youtube.

LOL funny. The attention to detail is evident as the film takes advantage of every prop and environment. Moves along at a good pace except for maybe the gas station. He doesn't overspend time as a Rabbi. Poor Hannah. Fav scenes: gum factory; everything in the Jewish quarter, from his entrance to the delicious deli, the driver asking for a raise, the dance scene.

Louis de Funès is as funny as ever here. Great story, a few laughs, remarkable soundtrack.
