finalde nasıl olduğunu anlayamadığım birşeyler oldu ama genel olarak baya beğendim. Klasik hint abartısı yoktu. çok doğal, gündelik yaşantıları hissi verdi. izlemeye değer...

Saw it in the winter forgot to rate it. I still remember some of it so it must have been pretty good. Feels like Bollywood indie. No silly dancing here. Plot reminds me of Tom Hanks' You've Got Mail, even though I haven't seen that movie. But it's very honest and simple. Catches emotion well.

There was no reason for the movie to be so slow, long-winded and verbose. No suspense, no interesting sub-plots, some rare highlights and lots of superfluous emptiness.

Ok film. Wastes it's opportunity to build it into anything much better than mediocrity.

It ends on a sweet and poignant note but the rest of the film is too modestly generic and tepid and doesn't dig deeper beyond its rather trite premise.

For some reasons I had high expectations and I guess because of that I got a bit disappointed. It's surely not a bad film, but I don't understand all the hype around it.

Immaculate debut movie from Ritesh Batra features the enigmatic Irrfan Khan as a loner approaching retirement age, Nimrat Kaur as a housewife who yearns for her husband's love and Nawazuddin Siddiqui who feverishly run after Irrfan to impress him. The story is in Mumbai, India - where a lunchbox made by Nimrat goes to an unintended recipient, Irrfan. They start to talk in letters hidden in the lunchbox, opening their hearts. A story of love, sadness, melancholy confided in a steel lunchbox.

The movie tells the story of a man who was getting every day the lunch of another man by accident (courier had the wrong address). He started chatting with that wife and they arranged to meet each other in the end. However he felt embarrassed due to his old age and didn't appear in the rantevou. The wofe was feeling that her husband didn't pay attention to her, he didn't even notice that he wasn't receiving her meals. Nice comedy and romantic movie! Fast paced

A nice story about people looking for connection, but overall maybe a bit too subdued to evoke any emotional investment.

A charming and at times deeply sad film about human connections. And about food, delicious food.

This is quite a nice, gentle film. It has an endearing feel to it. I certainly felt sorry for the housewife, stuck at home in the kitchen mostly, with only her aunt in the (I assume) upstairs flat to keep her company by shouting down. I liked the sort of imaginative/creative aspect to the letters and the new found companionship both parties found. It may be a little slow and plodding for some but I certainly enjoyed it, for it does have an optimistic feel to it,so I'd recommend it on that basis.

A heartening tale and enjoyable to watch. Also, I would do anything to have Illa's lunchboxes every day.

This movie is really sweet, warm and pleasing. The movie shows how a relationship develops between two unlikely people. The movie reminds many about You've got mail. This movie will stay with you even after you are done watching. I was impressed with the acting by Nimrat Kaur. A must watch movie for all.

Those unfamiliar with the Indian "lunchbox" system should find the first 1/3 of this compelling enough if for no other reason than curiosity. However, after that, the narrative continues 2 run over the same will-they-or-won't-they ground with a lot of Road-less-travelled discussions that wind up feeling - because of the repetition - only slightly more profound than a greeting card. The film offers so little 2 tide u over that once the ending arrives, it's infuriating, not satisfactory

Touching and easy going romance in the classic mould, boasting two fantastic central performances. Irrfan Khan especially is sublime.
