Robert Armstrong flips the bird with a grand ol' smile! Precode~~~!!! This struggles a little to find it's identity. A movie that starts with war, then goes to Hollywood with plenty of laughs and crazy directors, before it turns into a murder thriller. But it's a movie filled with lots of little moments of joy. Armstrong was probable the one contributing the most. He was a wonderful drunk! The greatest fact of all was Erich von Stroheim basically playing himself as the mad director!
