The Light Shines Only There

This is a great movie but unfortunately a pretty heavy film, which makes it less appealing in terms of watch-ability. Performances are very natural and restrained, adding to the very solemn mood of the film. The story and direction are also very controlled and well constructed. It's all a shame really because it always seems to be this type of Japanese movie that gets any traction internationally and it's not exactly a "fun" film to watch.
