The story is interesting and the visuals and music are beautiful but the movie wasn't that enjoyable. I was unable to engage with the character nor was I able to find any real moments of joy or wonder in the film to latch onto. I love Kenji Miyazawa's work but I think it takes a special director to put them on the screen.
