Representing possibly the first and last word in Welsh-language noir, The Library Suicides is a unique entity employing some not-so-rare genre tricks. Ok, having one actress portray identical twins is not exactly commonplace, and neither is a revenge film in a library. Ultimately, beyond its creepy tone, the film has a somewhat stilted pace and unclear aims. It falls a little short of the ideal thriller, but perhaps remains a curio for the world cinema completists out there.
