Ron Perlman steals this movie, and he doesn't come in until the very end.

Suprisingly effective despite it's obvious flaws.

Genius black comedy, subversive, delightful and I'll never be able to look at tomato patches the same way again.

The writing seems to be the problem here for me. If this is about a group of people deluding themselves about killing, then having to face the consequences, it should be deeper. If it's just a blood-soaked black comedy, it should be more shallow. But the movie falls between two stools.

I'm torn. It's a great concept that ultimately turns one-note. I had some laughs, and Perlman stole the show in the final act.

This is a well made, smart film. The cast does a great job and there are a number of good cameo performances. The script is smart the whole way through the film. Overall I would recommend this film.

Moral: Hitler (whose example they keep bringing up) was a liberal socialist, i.e. National Socialist, i.e. NAZIs. Stalin, Mao, Pot, Castro etc. socialists all. This is a liberal's wet dream. But it's obvious this was written by a libertarian since everybody knows neither liberals nor conservatives have a sense of humor. This was likely Ron Perlman's audition for "Son's of Anarchy".

Clever little flick with some big names. Left wingers decide to kill right wingers that they disagree with, leading to some interesting philosophical discussion and a couple of decent character arcs. It's a fun concept that plays out surprisingly well. Ron Perlman as a Sean Hannity-esque pundit is especially good.

Pretty interesting, and reasonably well written, but the idea could have been better realized. Has a fairy tale (or morality tale) feeling about it in both the story and the sets, unfortunately borders on the contrived sometimes.
