70s looking Bill Hader. Sections where character voice overs are all we have like it’s some perverted Terrence Malick art horror nonsense.

Technically not a good film, but it has this raw, sleazy energy that makes you feel like you're watching something you're not supposed to. This was an unenjoyable viewing in the best possible way.

the tone and mood are down but you won't find much else to grasp onto. but still, it's one of the first of these types of films and it's crazily effective given (or due to) the low budget and speed fr33k director.

Way more interesting than something like Canibal Holocaust because of its brutality and mood. Seems like the guy knows what he’s doing but was clearly limited in budget (which was mostly spent on speed, apparently). Would be interested in seeing the 3 hour cut.

Might even be better than I have it at right now just for how truly out there it is. It’s very raw and drags you kicking and screaming into its depths. At some points you are the character being killed. You are in this experience with them. What a weird fucked up piece of art. Are we still sure those kills weren’t real???

There was danger in 70's filmmaking that has never been able to be replicated and this is a prime example where you almost want to do research after watching it to make sure nobody was actually harmed. Like Eaten Alive there's a snuff mist over everything. Forget doesthedogdie dot com and try dotheactorsdie dot com. Taking everything just said into account, I think I still recommend this to those that haven't already figured out it's not for them.

Definitely inspired by Texas Chainsaw.

The tone and the mood are down. The movie drives its motif of sleazy gore into to the ground pretty quickly and becomes repetitive very quickly. It lacks any kind of substance that made wes craven's "last house on the left" or tobe hooper's "texas chainsaw" relevant to audiences outside gorehounds looking for sleazy extreme scares. For gorehound completists only.
