The Last Days of Pompeii

The silent era loved the story of Pompeii. In 1913 there was two versions, and 13 years later comes another one. They're all good. I would say the main '13 one is the most accessible because of the quality restoration job, something this one lacks, but this was a grand scale attempt, delivering a lot more plot. This version uses extra time, perhaps too much time, building the story before the disaster. Tries to bring more depth to a story where the destruction of a society is the key attraction.
