The Lady Consents

There was a certain dynamic in this 3-way drama, but also a little dreary. Very much a Ann Harding. Sophisticated, but also a little underwritten, this one, to get the full emotional experience of what they were going through. The one making this most rewarding wasn't Harding or Herbert Marshall or Margaret Lindsay. But old Edward Ellis as Marshall's alcohol loving father. That was a genuine character!
