The Kitchen

Only a "woke" or zealously feminist mindset that wants/needs to believe that women can do ANYTHING men can do - even in the notoriously violent & might-makes-right world of gangsters - can fail to notice how wildly implausible this ostensibly realistic crime drama is (3 wives become empowered mob bosses). It's so unbelievable I wondered if it was an exaggerated version of real-life events, but, of course, nothing like this ever happened. It's Scorsese via Gloria Steinem.

The actual working title for this was "The Shitchen," I sh!t you not!

While it has all the ingrediences to make a compelling movie, everything apart from Elizabeth Moss and Domhnall Gleeson feels incredibly flat and more tell than show. Apparently these women rule the streets of Hell's Kitchen, but there is nothing in the movie to back it up.

I thought this actually had some promise, but in the end The Kitchen only achieved boring me. Elisabeth Moss was easily the best part of the film, as her character had the hard-nosed actions shown on screen to match the talk that her and the other two leads spout. Nothing really happens on-screen in this movie to lead us to believe that these women are actually the bosses they say they are, leaving this intriguing story out to dry.

GREAT actors, poor script but it doesn't mean its bad, it just means that its out of proportion and lacks depth .. at times in our busy lives viewers just want to have a good time and not think so much. Hence this is the movie! If you are looking for a good time its worth it as in involves everything one wants like the 70s, racial representation, empowerment, twists, romance, drama, sorta comedy, amazing wardrobe and phenomenon acting and etc. Honestly, cast is amazing and so the acting as well.

The only times this thing was actually interesting to watch was when the marvelous Margo Martindale was on the screen.

Uhhhhhhhh.........not much to say with this film. It's just so boring and pointless.

3 kötü kadın karakter bir arada. Mafya kocalarının hapse girdiğinden, aç kalmamak için kocalarının mesleğine devam eden 3 eşin hikayesi. Tabii ki dozu kaçırıyorlar. 3 kadın oyuncu da rollerinin hakkını vermişler. Fazla abartıya kaçmadan sadık eş rolü başarılı. Filmin sonunda, ölenler, tuzaklar, intikamlar, entrikalar, ne ararsanız var. Yine de dost kalalım. Kesmeden önce havasını alıyoruz.
