Not one of Stephen Chow's best. The tonal shifts don't work as well here as the do in some of his better films. It was nice to see Jackie Chan in his cameo, Cecilia Cheung & Karen Mok were solid, Man-Tat Ng does good with the little he's given and Stephen Chow well he's pretty inconsistent here and might just be one of the weaker part in this.

Generic trash, not sure how this got so famous? (And for a movie with "comedy" in the title I sure would have expected it to be funnier.)

It has a few simultaneous plot lines that are somewhat clumsily juggled. What I took to be the "main" plot was actually resolved when there was a whole lot more movie left. But it's such a feel-good light-hearted movie that I can't consider that too big of a fault. Also, don't believe this page if it says Jackie Chan "stars" in it. He has a cameo in one scene, and it was a joy to see

Very funny movie. But then, I love everything Stephen Chow or Jackie Chan does.

A strange and uneven film that is worth watching for a smattering of hilarious scenes and Stephen Chow's endless charm.

Some damn solid gags in this one, but unless I'm not picking up on something, I think approx. half of the film actually doesn't satire any HK action flicks. It also doesn't stick the landing.

way too many shifts in tone as it tries to parody every style of popular hk flick of the last twenty years. story goes out the window in a really awful way. there are some good jokes in there though. (mild spoilers follow) found it really weird that about the last 15 minutes were abruptly this very serious, very dark undercover cop twist...i could see the parody in it, however there were no true jokes to lighten all the murder that happened in this scene.
