One of very few lead roles fiddler and future wife killer Spade Cooley got during his time in Hollywood. He'd usually play bit parts, mainly as a musician, but had enough of a name that he's get rare chances to be the highlight of random low budget westerns like this. They even give this the color treatment with something called Naturalcolor. And the color and the music was easily the main draws there. The rest was pretty poor.
