Cozy film. Tries to add a touch of comedy, but Alexander Knox was never really the funny type. Good serious actor for sure, but never a box office draw, so most of the movies he got the top billing failed miserably, including The Judge Steps Out (1948). Thankfully it's a pleasant watch, much to do with Knox's level-headed nature, so this soul searching adventure feels genuine.
