The Jackie Robinson Story

Jackie Robinson playing himself in his own story. That's a gimmick movie. Is it good? Not really. But it is interesting to see the sports icon in action, especially since he comes from a era where there's not much footage available of his achievements. So this is the closest we get. Thankfully, it also touches on the challenges he faced, having some message to bring, so its not all a glamorous cash-in. Still, it's Jackie playing Jackie, and that's why people tune into this movie even today.

This is a good and interesting drama. Jackie Robinson is very good in this film, he is playing himself. The script is good and there are a number of interesting scenes. Overall I would recommend this drama.
