The Island

Kind of fucking boring tbh. The film has some interesting shots and plot points, but everything about it feels very run of the mill with weak comedy and character arcs. The film says nothing new about social engineering - how many stories have we had that implies that power causes corruption? Or that the lead does the right thing due to a love interest? It's a tepid, unfunny and uninteresting film that doesn't have much to say at all.
