The Incredible Journey

Only put it on to distract the dog for a few mins, ended up watching the whole thing. One of the better ones of these.

I knew of this film, adapted from a children's book, and saw the celebrity voiced 90's remake years ago, but didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. In our age of CGI talking animals, there's something so enjoyable about watching a simple story told via narration and real animal footage (although I suspect the on screen animals didn't have a great time making this).

More of a proof of concept for the delightful and far more exciting, emotional and charming 90s remake than anything else. A curiosity at this point.

I haven't seen it in ages, but I still remember it. Great movie for children

A movie that had me totally charmed as a kid. I watched it countless times and when I think of the movies of my childhood, this is one of the first that comes to mind. I've only seen the once once as an adult, but was impressed and still somewhat charmed at how unassuming it was. It's lack of cheap gimmicks and its simplicity are not that common in modern childrens movies. Not actually that great, but deserves some nostalgia marks.

Nostalgia! Not a great movie, but still. So adorable.

I loved this movie so much as a kid. There was something amazing about how the narration made these animals so human. And such a great ending.
