The Incorrigible Dukane

It's nice something from this early in John Barrymore's film days is preserved, though it's a bland cousin to the formula Douglas Fairbanks was starting out with much more excitingly at the same time. See, this young Dukane fellow *does not like getting up in the morning*! Simply incorrigible, that! Naturally, he heads West, notionally learns the meaning of work, and stumbles into a couple men defrauding the family business. Also, there's a love interest in-frame for at least a minute.

John Barrymore's earliest surviving film. A fairly odd comic one from him. So much so it was more funny seeing him in that type of role than the material being particularly funny. He often was a eccentric fellow, but not like this.
