Unintentionally a good time. Pretty garbage throughout though I like the idea of watching Ice Road Truckers and making a movie about it fourteen years later. Just couldn't shake it, I guess. We're only two years away from his Storage Wars movie.

Mostly crap, but a bunch of unintentional laughs make this Kenworth Trucks commercial somewhat entertaining.

Was expecting some boring road movie but who knew it was possible to crank in so much action. Good Sunday afternoon fodder.

Now that Liam Neeson has survived wolves in the frozen wilderness, he is trying to survive evil corporate people in the frozen wilderness. It had some okay scenes, but overall it's just kind of boring and bland. That bad guy sure could survive everything.

As an ex-truck driver, this movie gave me PTSD, but I also really appreciated all the focus on trucks. Most movies with truck driving act like its no different than driving a normal car and anyone can do it.....INCORRECT. Anyways, I had a lot of fun with this, but MAJOR FLAW: It didn't need human villains...this was man vs. nature.

Although the story started off fairly intriguing, it quickly veered off course. I have no clue about the relevance of a brother with aphasia or why Fishburne would be cast for such a minor role. The narrative swiftly devolves into a trite plot about money and ill intentions. A disappointment.

You know what? it's not that bad. It could have been Fast&Furious with trucks instead we get grounded and relatable working class heroes. There is still an inner child in me loving those big trucks. Yes, the black "token" character dies first (RIP Fishburne). Yes, the fight scenes inside the truck cabin are underwhelming, probably because they're trying to keep things 'realistic'. But i expected worse.

The Wages of Fear on Ice. One also cannot help but think of the scene in BARTON FINK where Audrey explains to Barton that wrestling movies are simple morality tales featuring a good wrestler who at the end confronts a bad wrestler, further explaining that Bill, instead of pairing the good wrestler with a love interest or a kid, would instead sometimes pair him with an “idiot man-child”. Standard fare with one or two moments inept enough to make it seem worse than that.

Not exactly The Wages of Fear or Sorcerer but truly entertaining (especially the first hour) despite the often lousy CGI. Neeson is perfect.

I rather enjoyed this one, bad CGI aside. Neeson didn't feel like a sore thumb in yet another action film. Of course the story is still a bit of stretch but overall there is plenty of things to enjoy. Ice Roads are real and don't feature this much action but I liked the incorporation of them into the films plot.

It has the usual demerits for this type of movie, but those would be tolerable if it delivered on my expectations with premise. While there is some excitement in the stunts due to the bombastic music and nature of the stunts, but they lack any real suspense because they are so ineptly shot and edited. There are some sensational moments in the movie, but it could have been so much better with a more competent director. Neeson does carry this again with ease on autopilot.

Boringly too written and the corporate sabotage is just too absurd too swallow, but this at least has a heart-warming strong blue collar angst vibe -- they will try just about everything to save the miners, fighting against nature (thin ice roads, fragile bridge, avalanche, ice storm and so on) and psycho execs pulling the strings -- and the cast is ok most of the time -- although Fishburne's character is killed off way early on.

Action Neeson continues his adrenaline junkie downward spiral to rock bottom of his career resurgence. This time he's even more bad ass than an ex-assasin, no sir, now he has the most badassiest profession known to man, a trucker, he's even got a disabled brother/partner in tow. Truthfully, while "The Ice Road" may boast a plot lamer than your favorite 69 year old action star deserves, and the CG might look just as old as him, it's surprisingly not nearly as shitty as it should be.

I'm giving this a score of ten rather than zero because even though it wasn't the filmmakers' intention to make a comedy it is frequently hilarious, so that has to count for something. Clearly, and for the sake of your sanity, the best way to approach this movie is to think of it as the truck version of Airplane!

This script has an interesting idea for a movie. The script isn't perfect, some charters are not fully formed and parts of the third act are unsatisfying. Overall I iwould recommend this movie.

Yes it's a simple story, yes the corporate bad guys are a little too quick to make evil decisions, and I'm not sure why Netflix is so in love with Benjamin Walker, as he's not that good, but I still enjoyed The Ice Road. Neeson never fails as a disgruntled tough guy, Fishburne's role was brief but memorable, and some took issue with the character of Gurty being too plot-convenient, but in the end he's the real hero and the movie doesn't dispute that.

Oh my. This could have been a good movie. It should have been a good movie. But nooooooo. They have to make what is perhaps the most unrealistic movie ever made. Why did this movie that could have been fighting the elements have to have alien villains? I mean, they weren't shown as alien, but they can seemingly escape catastrophic accidents unharmed and go through both time and space, so, yeah, aliens. Every trucker must be face palming at how unrealistic this was. What happened to the chains?!?
