The House of Magic

Fairly cute mid-budget animation. Takes cues from Enid Blyton with its old-fashioned magical elements and clearly-defined animalian personalities, which makes for a neat change; the lack of pop-culture-dependent jokes is also a major plus. But it's ultimately too slight to recommend in any real sense.

A european animated feature which means it is different than the average hollywood flick. The animation is quite well done and there are some interesting characters, it is a good flick that most of the family could enjoy.

House of fun by Madness is a song about the joy of reaching the age of consent. The makers either didn't know or didn't care and put the same amount of thought into the tedious plot. Shame, it started pretty cute.

Eh. The Secret Life of Pets meets Home Alone meets living wind-up toys straight out of a horror movie. Actually this movie had several elements that seemed to belong in a horror movie. Not offensively bad. I want to complain that the Danish voices were superbad, but I suspect that they were actually pretty average fare. Also, people who throw their pets out on the street should be set on fire and put out with a shovel.
