This one's a charmer. You'll be singing "On the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe" to yourself all day. Did I mention that I love Judy Garland's voice?

Good score, nice performers, and an ordinary story add up to a fairly good musical.

Never mind the gay cowboys, Judy Garland is awesome as always. :> In fact, this has to be my favorite performance of hers. And not just of hers, it is one of my favorite performances. In fact, you've got awesome performances all around in this one. Not to mention the cinematography. :o And that action scene at the end! How fucking great was that? With all the stunts and shit and the fire... :D

Pure MGM. All about the fun and splendor as Judy Garland sings her way through a rowdy western town as a mail-order-bride. I really liked it. A little too singy and showy, but with so many different personalities its such a good time. Exactly what you's expect from a MGM musical where Garland goes west.
