pop art has got to be the most intellectually vapid movement that has ever moved. it is all too aware of its own stupidity, which somehow makes it even worse.

OK, so it's Pop art. Patriotic song, famous brands something something about consumer society. I dunno. Pop art doesn't really work as well on video I guess. Or maybe it's that many of these references are outdated 45 years later.
