Sadly the best parts of this movie were in the preview. And to make it worse um just watch the preview and see if you laugh. The jokes were overly crude, to the point that I just didn't find them junny. Rob Riggel playing a 10-yr old was a minor bright spot. When it comes down to it though The Goods are spoiledd. Live Hard, Sell Hard, Suck Hard.

The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard is a very funny movie. Jeremy Piven does a great job acting in the movie. Will Ferrell makes a great guest apperance in the movie that adds to the movies appeal. The movie contains many hilarious scenes and one-liners, but lacks a good plot which prevents it from being a great movie.

It just isn't funny. I don't understand how that's possible, given the talent involved here (especially behind the camera, as Brennan is a hilarious comic), but so much of the attempted humour just feels too broad and obvious. Some of the cast are able to consistently bring the funny (Kathryn Hahn and Craig Robinson particularly), and Miller and Ferrell do well in their bit parts. But Piven doesn't have it in him to carry a movie like this. The best thing I can say about it is it's short.

Typical comedy of Will Ferrell as Ricky Bobby, and several others, which I like, but despite the good cast, misses than hits, only a few jokes I really laughed.

The Goods takes the shotgun approach to comedy, packing multiple layers of jokes, vulgarity and stuffed with dozens of comedians from better films all hoping that if you create enough chaos it'll all work. And to a degree it does, with enough Old School inspired anarchy and charm to get the wheels turning. But Piven plays the lead like a poor man's Will Farrel, not possessing the volume or energy to sell the audience a car salesman of mythological proportions and little if any charm.

Hit or miss comedy that's more miss than hit. Watch Used Cars instead.

Falls into the category of either you laughed or you didn’t, but as is usually the case with these disposable comedies, it’s the casting which is the key and this has a cast that fires on all cylinders, alone and together, including perhaps surprising stand-out Brolin, though the screenplay does a good job of establishing running gags and giving them just enough juice to keep puttering along (especially anything involving Brolin and Koechner). Some great chuckles and decent laughs here.

A decent effort here worth a watch if in the mood for silly comedy, some of the story lines go on a bit too long and/or are too far fetched. It is filmed well and the cast do a pretty good job, Piven does become a bit too much by the end though.

When are moviemakers going to figure out that having funny people act doesn't equal a funny movie? I chuckled a few times, but they were far and in between, and it ended up being more pointless than entertaining.

Funny, but fails in casting the unlikable Piven in the lead role - who phones it in anyway. Lucky for him (or rather us), he's surrounded by lots of funny people.

The main storyline is actually pretty good and delivers a lot of laughs. The problem comes when it strays to the fringes to pick up on the other characters. Where some are rather funny (The DJ is hysterical and Rob Riggle's character made me laugh) most are just not funny at all and realy kill the pace set by Piven's energy. This could have been a pretty damn good 45 minute movie, but instead we get a middle of the road comedy that's 89 minutes.

One of the more underrated comedies in a long time. It is riddled with crude humor, but what else do you expect from Piven. It is where he thrives. This film will make you laugh as long as you aren't too stuffy to refuse.

Feels like they poorly transplanted jeremy Piven's personality from Entourage and forced it into a movie that could've been about almost anything. Not worth the money , to see it once.

A seemingly plotless and pointless comedy that struggles to provide many hilarious jokes that weren't featured in the trailer. It's not a terrible movie, it just drags on during some parts. A few of the cast members (craig robinson and kathryn hahn) consistently deliver.

I still can't decide whether the trailer or the movie was better. I actually googled and watched the trailer for this film 5 times! But I don't think I'd watch the film again. The film was basically limited to the jokes in the trailer then with a lot of extra padding that if anything detracted from the jokes you'd already seen. And I'm not saying the trailer ruined the film, but that the film only had about 2 minutes and 15 seconds of truly great material.
