the opening theme song made me both angry and suspicious of what i was about to watch. day and taylor worked well together. there's plenty of hits on jokes but more misses.deluise brightens the entire affair anytime he's on screen.i would have ranked this into the 60s except the ending is abrupt and stupid and doesn't address several things including the fact that doris days character had just found that taylor considered her to be incredibly stupid and he had been manipulating her half the film

I admire Frank Tashlin, but this is not among his best films. He does do some visually inventive things here, especially with Taylor's penchant for creating high tech gadgets. There's also a really top notch slapstick sequence involving Day and Dom DeLuise. But I don't think Day is particularly suited to this kind of comedy and I find her really off-putting in this film.

The first half of the movie was "wimmenz in scientific settings, amirite?" and then the fun starts to pick up when Doris Day is in on the secret, though I wish that got played out a lot longer instead of the rather abrupt spy ending. As a result nothing much is memorable except for Day running around in supportive tops. Fav scene: kitchen gadgets.

Looks and feels like a VERY long television show. The uninspired writing got the directing it deserved, and it's telling that almost all of the "stars" were far better known for their work in TV than in the movies.

Could have been a good idea, and there are funny moments and good cameos, but most of this was corny and sexist.

Disappointing for a Doris Day film - relies on slapstick visual humour alone which leaves it with nothing special. Even the song was not a Doris of the Day best.

"The film flails airlessly, not unlike Day herself when she's mistakenly locked inside Taylor's anti-gravity prototype." - Eric Henderson

Silly, and a lot of fun. Doris Day is always a treat to watch.
