I just love Don Knotts and his amazing acting. A fun family friendly movie. Yes it is corny in parts but it also provides a good laugh along with solid entertainment the whole movie through.

Finally got to this one too. Better than I imagined. Fun movie and of course Don Knotts is perfect as the extremely nervous main character.

I loved this as a kid, but my memories of it bear out the veracity of some of the other comments: literally the only things I remember about this flick are the scenes in the haunted house, and I do remember that while watching it, I couldn't wait for the movie to get back there (suggesting that it did not spend nearly enough time there).

I'm over-rating this due to childhood nostalgia (it was a staple at my father's and used to make me laugh and scare the shit out of me at times). That organ theme inside the mansion is still creepy as hell.

most of don knotts' movies were a little on the childish side, but this one is almost too tame. you'd be better off looking elsewhere if you want to watch a knotts movie.

Din Knotts is very good and funny in this movie. Knotts plays the type of character he is known for a nervous, shy man. This movie works best in the scenes in the spooky house. However most of the movie takes place out of the haunted house and there are far too many scenes that do not really add anything to the movie.

The classic Don Knotts shines in this comical "haunted house" film, which has became a yearly Halloween viewing in my home.

Unfortunately while Knotts' scared routine is excellent here there's very little actually in a haunted house. In fact his best scare act is during a public speaking event. So while we only get a few brief flirts with the macabre I enjoyed this overall.

Rather a slight premise, but an amiable adventure all around with a good cast supporting Mr Chicken. Not sure I quite bought the wrap-up at the end (or why it took so long to come out in the open)...but this being a comedy, I guess that isn't really too crucial a consideration.

Funny

Don Knotts is fun, and the movie is for a bit, but even at 90 minutes it's draggy at best.

Cheesy movie from the 60s, but all worth while because of Don Knotts

Fairly typical fare for this era and Don Knotts plays the same character he always has: the hapless dweeb. But if you enjoy those things (as I do when the mood hits me) this is a serviceable movie to scratch your itch.

A guilty pleasure. I'm sorry to say that I need to see this at least once every fall in preparation for Halloween.
