The Get-Away

Mostly a straight-forward remake of Public Hero Number 1 (1935). A good one at that, but I prefer the star-power of the original. Here they give fresh actors a chance at the old script, including barely established Robert Sterling & Dan Dailey, not to mention Donna Reed in her first credited role, and while they lack a little of that raw screen presence, they don't hold-up the movie as it moves swiftly through it's gangster plot for a fairly thrilling time.
