The best movie ever made about a gazebo.

A dark comic classic. Glenn Ford chews up every scene he's in, while supporters like Debbie Reynolds, Carl Reiner and Martin Landau hold their own quite well. Made around the same time as Hitchcock's attempt at dark comedy came out (The Trouble With Harry) featuring a similar plot, just not very funny.

A bit slow to start but very funny if not a bit aged.

Odd mixture between dark comedy and domestic slapstick, with Glenn Ford playing half-crazed with an amazing amount of verve. There's one particularly inspired gag where the writer is confronted and harried at every turn by intruders after successfully completing a murder only to get a phone call from Alfred Hitchcock, who gives him some good advice.
