A tense, engrossing, sprawling thriller and one of my all-time favorite cinematic mysteries. It may be a film adaptation, but the emotional journey we take with Dr. Kimble and all his "Holy shit!" close escapes make it feel like we've just seen a whole damn TV series of thrills when all is said and done. Tommy Lee Jones is absolutely, utterly awesome. I genuinely do think of it as a masterpiece.

The whodunnit reveal in the last 20 minutes gets over-complicated & the film forces the kind of action-packed and cathartic audiences demand even though it requires coincidences & the villain making some dumb & odd choices but the rest of this is a thriller masterpiece with some fantastic setpieces & rarest of all for a thriller: a protagonist & antagonist who are equally matched: both are clever, smart and relentless.

Well-done suspense film without a lot of violence. There's not too many movies that match that description. The final revelation at the end ultimately makes the entire movie not make very much sense, but this is an entertaining yarn about two basically good men pitted against one another by fate

This is very good remake of the classic television series. But as good as Ford's performance is, it is overshadowed by Tommy Lee Jones. Jones steals the movie with his tough as nail US Marshall. He ma have been popular before this movie, but the Fugitive made him a star. Very good special effects as well. Overall a great thriller.

A lot of things happen in this film, and it's a great thriller. However, why is everyone ignoring the rollerblading nurse? I had to rewind the first time, because we didn't see his feet, but it appeared as though he were rollerblading. Then, a few minutes later, he's back and there's a clear shot of the rollerblades. It took me out of the film. Also, if I were going to get someone to commit a crime on my behalf, I would get someone less recognizable than a one-armed man.

I've loved this movie since I was a kid and I've only grown to love it more and more everytime I revisit it. The editing, the suspense, the acting, the respect of the audience's intelligence, the almost overwhelming amount of "that guy"s, the look and the shift in tone from action to investigation. It really just came together perfectly. One of the best hollywood thrillers of the 90's. Also the compositing technique for train crash literally still beats 95 percent of modern effects for realism.

The Fugitive is a great thriller with a fantastic cast, especially Jones who delivers the performance of his career. Ford is also terrific. I also thought the direction really stood out. It was very smart, and sophisticated, with a great plot. One thing that really stands out with the Fugitive for me, is that every Ford movie since this one, hasn't been all that great.

Right from the get go, this is a highly pulpy thriller-action, with the right amount of ridiculousness in is very economic set up, placing Harrison Ford for the death penalty before the opening credits are even done. An absolute belter of an opening action set-piece is followed by a cat-and-mouse tale that's elevated by the actors and direction to ground all this somewhat, despite the twisty plot getting too turned towards the end with all its whacky (and very final chapters pulpy) conspiracies.

Wonderful thriller in which the action set pieces are well crafted and believable. There is not a weak actor or actress in the entire film. The entire film is a tense game of cat and mouse between Harrison Ford's character and Tommy Lee Johns character. The only negative is the last third of the film is a little too predictable and the action sequence isn't as entertaining as previous ones but it was still enjoyable to watch.

The first two-thirds are a mostly enjoyable cat and mouse action-thriller with somewhat clever moments, even with Ford playing his usual character at the time. The Fugitive is a well made thriller that still entertains. The crime is shrouded with mystery and the truth unfolds interestingly. But this film really excels as a riveting game of cat and mouse and the thrilling chase drives this story. The overall direction and pacing is well executed by Andrew Davis and the set pieces excite throughout. The star quality of Harrison Ford takes this film up a level and he is the vehicle of the story. But it's Tommy Lee Jones who gives the standout performance.

This is definitely one of the classics. A very good cat-and-mouse thiller with Jones' performance being a particular highlight. The film pulls you on the edge of your seat when cheering for Ford's character to succeed in proving his innocence. The only major problem I have with the film is it's length. It could've easily be 20 minutes shorter and it just slowly left me bored at the slow conclusion of the third act. Other than that, it's a damn fun thriller.

Ford is great as the dashing, daring, and resourceful Richard Kimble, making up a solid cat-and-mouse pair along with Jones' entertainingly bullish and determined U.S. Marshal. The thrills of the chase plot are second to none, with plenty of close calls and cool cons that favour smart and tense action over cheap violence. Meanwhile, the murder intrigue that comes to the forefront in the film's climax adds depth to the story, even if it doesn't pack the same sort of punch.

Exhilarating thriller is like an object lesson in constructing a smart, old school pot-boiler, but is further distinguished in this case by Ford and Jones as finely (and distinctively) etched personalities at the fore-front. Action set-pieces are beautifully and believably mounted, starting with Ford's iconic escape from a bus/train smash; supporting players (especially those within Jones' crack team) equally superb. A great film which has only improved down the years.
