The Frogs Who Wanted a King

A permanently relevant little fable about the drive to "escape from freedom" marking human, and apparently amphibian nature, made by the Godfather of Stop-motion, W. Starewicz. He keeps it tastefully concise and humorous, and besides attacking leader worship, also manages to take a subtler but bolder swing at religion. Not bad for 8 minutes.

Yes! More frogs! Also featuring: Jupiter, a tree stump, a stork, and politics. I guess this is some sort of commentary on the Russian revolution.

Interesting little film

A nicely amusing comedy of fuckheadedness with some damn fine animation, especially considering the time

Nice animation and score and an amusing little fable.

A goofy fable/political allegory. A couple of clever moments, though. Some of the intertitles contained puns that could only work in English, I wonder they originally said.
