The setting is Ming Dynasty during the reign of Chenghua (1465-1487). The court is controlled by imperial eunuchs who consolidate their power by joining either the East or West Bureaus, organs of oppression and espionage whose in-fighting resembles that of the SA and SS in Nazi Germany. Wan Yulou (Gordon Liu), an enforcer of the East Bureau, is dispatched to execute Can Qianzhi, Minister of Five Armies. (mubi.com)

I feel sorry there are so many flaws as the overall idea was interesting. A 2 hours movie felt like a 4 hours movie, and would have maybe been better as a mini series with all the different plots each pulling a different directions. The CGI was horrible and ruined the scenes in which it was used

The story was a mess and the fight scene were some of the worst I've seen in a Hong Kong film. The CGI is really really bad like Iceman or Zu Warriors bad.

The film in general has a feel as if its epic finale was written first, and everything else forced into place to make the ending work whether or not it left a functioning beginning and middle. Traditional martial arts fans won't be impressed, but fans of physics-defying wuxia will feel right at home.

Jet Li worst movie I seen. Poor story and over done fight scenes.

Meh. Not even two dudes having a duel inside a hurricane could save this. The orange & teal color palette is painful, the setting is boring and the CGI is painfully bad most of the time.
