Anna May Wong was a starring star in Europe while having difficulties getting decent parts in America. Here in a multi-language project as a Chinese singer in Russia. In love with one officer, and having to give herself to a duke to stop her brother from being executed. Tragic one without getting to graphic about her sins. Fairly good film considering the age it was made and they photographed Wong so stunningly performing on stage.
