The FBI Story

If Jimmy Stewart’s charm and charisma were even one ounce smaller this jerking-off-the-fbi movie would have been unbearable. I prefer to see him in those unintentionally anticapitalist Frank Capra films, rather than Hoover’s porn. Also I’m not a botanic, but there are no Paradise Bird Flowers in South America, they are native to South Africa (in fact they are one of my favorite flowers) so clearly nobody care about the scenography in that jungle.

Passes the time.

The movie tries to tell the whole story of the FBI from its early days and still receive the blessings of J. Edgar Hoover. Consequently, it is too cautious and scattered in its approach to be either good history or a good movie.

Plays by the book and is more of a docudrama.
