The End of Suburbia: Oil Depletion and the Collapse of the American Dream

Eye-opening for some, simply reinforcing reality for others but it is certainly undeniable at this point if you have a well-rounded sense of the global state of oil production. My only complaint is that the end of the film made everything seem horrendously bleak. Instead of motivating me to change I just wanted to throw up my hands in despair and just say "screw it!"

"America took all of it's post-war wealth and invested it in a living arrangement that has no future". Good to see a doc tackle land-use as a part of the sustainability problem, the peak-oil doom-mongering was a little over-blown but it's mostly good stuff.

Kind of the pre-cursor to Michael Ruppert's Collapse (2009) which I happen to like better, but nevertheless this came prior to that so I give it its due credit.

It has an agenda like so many "documentaries" today but it's clear, concise and direct.
