The Eagle

A so-so entry in the Zoroesque adventure genre, which was a pretty pat type of picture at this point. It's competent and breezes right by, but probably wouldn't be particularly well-remembered if it didn't star Valentino, who, honestly, was never quite as good at this sort of role as Fairbanks or Ramon Navarro. (Of course, they weren't built up as romance incarnate, and outlived 31.) Louise Dresser does make an amusing (if not especially flattering) Catherine the Great, at least.
