Takes the time to watch a movie solely to see a performance by one of history's greatest actresses, can't resist the urge to make an offensive joke about women drivers based on the title. The duality of man.

Interesting role for Taylor and a reasonably faithful adaptation of Spark's novella. The vibe is stark and desolate, a la The Conversation (complete with solo piano score). The story tips its hand too early with the flash-forwards (even most online summaries of the film reveal what could have been a good twist), resulting in a case of the get-on-with-its as one waits for the inevitable. An odd film, and interesting, but not odd or interesting enough due to lack of escalation.
