There is something about this one, but I'm not sure what. It plays out like a TV theater production in the way it's acted. Stage performance monologues and exaggerations with William Farnum dominating the screen in that way as The Drifter. Noah Beery is good too, while Charles Sellon really bring it here as a strong counter character to Farnum. It's like a slow atmospheric play. And it doesn't really matter that it's clearly a 'B' movie because it's the acting that takes center stage.
