The Double Garden

A grumpy, misogynistic NASA scientist and his beautiful Japanese assistant make a killer Venus Flytrap monster. James Craig, the lead, overacts in all of his scenes, but he's entertaining. Kudos to the soundtrack too, which at points sounds like it was created by a church organist and someone learning to play stringed instruments. It takes too long to get to the monster escaping and terrorizing the local townspeople, but it's comical watching it get its boxing-gloved plant hands on folks.
